To study religion is to study how human beings have answered the largest questions ever asked — what is good, what is true, what is real, and what makes a life worth living. The five traditions in this collection do not always agree. They do, however, share something important: each one believes that a life lived without meaning is a life half lived.
“The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.”
